D
i am inquiring about peoples experiences
using premixed insulins
the ones already mixed that cover
meal and basal needs in the same injection
im aware that the newer regimes
can be better but i still need info. on the premixed ones
i guess what im trying to learn is
do i need to eat the meals?
can i drink them as long as there
are no hypos?
im having alot of teeth pain and its hard to
chew the foods
and does breakfast need to be eaten?
i would be taking 2 injections one before breakfast
and one before supper
and can i just skip lunch then?
my routine is basically the same right now
i eat a meal between 2 and 4pm
sometimes a snack at night
rare exercise with massive swelling (legs n feet)
footwear worn when i have to go out
i dont start it until tomorrow
but if i dont have enuf info. i will wait
til i do
its a 40/60 mix but i dont know the exact name
my drugstore has ordered it
so i cant see what its called yet
i can only remember the dr saying 40/60 premixed
and his titration instructions
and numbers to get when
ok so its actually called
novolin 40/60
i dont know if i spelled it right
(i called the drugstore for the name
it hasnt arrived yet)
so at least now i can do a search for more info.
yes soups work well
i avoid the chunky ones
i have oj but it doesnt travel well
if i go shopping
been trying to come up with a soft candy
that wont bust apart in my purse
like the sugar packs did
there are tons out there
but not chewable for me
maybe sugar cubes that melt?
