Christmas can be problematic for many people, but if you needed a push to take control, this might be the time, perhaps?
Have a look for low carb Christmas recipes and go from there.
You might actually be raising your blood glucose by having carbs only late in the day. I could see a distinct drop when I started to have just 10 gm of carbs and eating breakfast, then going all day before eating again. I eat at 12 hour intervals.
Rather than take medication I'd eat frogspawn, sorry frogs, as I reacted badly, but no food is worth having horrible side effects or dreadful consequences.
