Hi there. I'm a fairly new diagnosed type 1. Since I was diagnosed it was difficult to make light of the situation I was in. One way was to laugh with my friends about it and whilst I checked my blood sugars I would also check theirs. I realise this is stupid now as we used the same prick for our fingers but as I said at the time it seemed irrelevant. For some reason it is now making me really anxious that I may have caught something. Am I just being silly and should I just ignore it and not do it again. Thankyou in advance.

Best to see your GP and get some proper advice on this. Unfortunately other people may have a condition they don't know about. Best to just be on the safe side, so try and find out, for your health and peace of mind.
Good luck RRB

If you feel something is seriously wrong, do not wait around. I'm guilty of this in the past but I have to take stern precautions now because of the conditions that I already picked up. Oh and definitely do not share needles or anything of that nature. I'm sure you've learned that now, but just want to reinforce the fact that it is not safe health-wise. And remember, you're always better safe than sorry.
