Private Diabetes Clinic in France

Hi there. Type 2 diagnosed at 40 but showing symptoms since early childhood (verified by specialist at NHS Diabetes Centre). Does anyone know a clinic in France where I can get the blood test to identify the genetic variant of Type 2 that I have? I'm fed up with banging my head against the wall in the UK. I tried to go private but was told that I can't without a GP referral. My GP is blocking me from getting an accurate diagnosis. So, I'm going next door,

Hi Steve, what tests have they done so far (if any!), have they said you are definitely type 2 because of any tests or (as usual) are they diagnosing based on your physical appearance?
 
You can get your insulin tested at medichecks.. That would be one way to go.. not genetic per se but would show at least if you are under or over producing which could then point you at more tests...or a c-peptide.
I'm assuming you haven't had those either?
