problem deleting my posts.

Hi everyone I am just wondering how I delete my posts? It gives me the option to edit but not delete.
I have used mobile app and Web browser but no joy.
 
I'm not sure you can delete posts, however if you send a pm to a moderator explaining which post you want deleted this can be done for you.
 
On the web at least users can delete their own posts. It is something I have to do regularly here where the Internet can be iffy and lead to double posts. I just delete one of them.

Here you go, underneath your post you have clicked on, you will see the three options below, click on Delete, a box comes up and says 'reason for deletion', write in the box ( I haven't always done this) and it should delete the post. Good luck

I did try that but just gave me the option to edit or report and I can only delete my responded comments I have written but not anyone else's. So annoying
 
If you still can't do it, then tag Administator or Giverny, who should be able to sort it out.
 
I don't believe you can delete anyone else's posts. The impact could be somewhat inflammatory. As far as I am aware, I can only delete my own posts, which I imagine is how the software is designed.

Someone with higher permissions may be able to help you like @Giverny or @Administrator .

You cannot delete other people's posts.
If you have a problem with them then the best thing to do is to report them.
If you want the whole thread deleted and you are the OP then you can ask a Moderator to do so and state your reason why.

@catherinecherub, any idea how I can stop the annoying ads that keep appearing in the forums. I'm using the app & there are ads for credit checks, loans, comparison sites on & on. I find it really intrusive & annoying. Are DUK getting paid for these ads? Sorry to butt in on the thread but when I try to message administrators or tech I keep getting a network error

If you could delete a whole thread, would you contact the other people that have replied to your posts to ask them if they mind having their responses deleted? I would have thought that would be the polite thing to do if people have taken the time to respond to something you have written..
