My 16 year old daughter has type 1, currently on MDM, but should be going onto a pump in the next couple of months, has ok control her last Hba1c was 58, not perfect but I feel not bad door a growing teenagerHer problem is her periods, she seems to be suffering from bad PMS, with symptoms including aniexty, unable to sleep, cries all the time in the few days leading up to and during her period, added to this she has really bad crammping and heavy bleeding for the first 3-4 days.  The rest of the time she is a very happy and settled child. We have a GP appointment on wed to disscuss things, including starting her on the combined pill but have heard differing things regarding the safety of the contraceptive pill for diabetesAny thoughts and expericiences very welcome , thanks in advance</blockquote>
