new hear fed up up with this type 2 i 39 got feet that crack up but under control with cream but always dry and sore.got heat rash feels like my backside on fire and looks like 2nd degee burns real itchy that bad enough stoped taking my bp tablets or some time take them but cutting them in half because make my bits not work get all the feeling but nothing happen so my sex life **** now so fed up no one seem to understand also dont understand the food got to eat al im doing is cuttin out sugar and choc as mutch as poss but got told was doing exelent now doc told me that iv started eating kit kat every night cart help it was 13 half stone down too 10 .9 dont want to lose moe like to stay at 12 realy

You need to see a doctor. I think you need a review of your medication if it isn't agreeing with you and you need to tell your GP about these other symptoms.
If you want to give us some inforamtion about your blood glucose levels and your diet we may be able to help you get the numbers down. This may well improve some of the problems you are having.

my levels are lowest prob 3.8 highest 14.0 but average abount 8.5 iv change white bread to brown eat more fruit only drink diet lemonade or water if do have a tea may be one a day instead of prob 4-8 cups but only half sugar instead of 2 but try not to drink tea try to stay with water as im bit bad with kit kats etc feel bit like shaky at 4.0 to 5.6 and feel hungry oh dont drink alcoholl unless od pint larger shandy may be twice a mounth y dont pubs di diet lemonade dont like coke gettin scared they put me on injections

Its all a bit confusing this diabetes isnt it, first thing i would say to you is please go back to your doctor and tell her all your symptoms, they may or may not be diabetes related.
and second, you need to learn about carbohydrates, these are bread, including white AND brown, potatoes, rice, pasta, starchy vegetables and fruit, these foods can give you spikes so you need to test to find out and then maybe either reduce the quantity or cut them out altogether. I suggest that you get yourself the Collins Gem carb counter book and you can work out the carb content of all the food and test how it is all affecting you.
Try and get hold of Dr Clarkes book, The Diabetes Revolution, it is easy to read/understand. I know you are frightened, but I can assure you it will all get easier with time, the more you learn the more confident you will become and you will not be so scared any more. Do not worry, you will get there, we all have to start somewhere, what you are experiencing is normal and there is so much information out there its overwhelming and you feel just a failure, well you are not, you are doing very well already by asking questions, so give yourself a pat on the back.
Just keep on asking and dont despair, you are not alone and everyone in here will do their best to help you along.

thanks karen .was on metformin 3 time a day but keeped being sick after now on a slow release tablet one a day think they still metformin hydrochloride 500mg glucophage i hate going to doctors or hospital i the sort that will just put up with it untill somthing happens but i know i have to go some time wye do i have 2 lots of blood tests 1 for my doc and one for hospital doctor y carnt they use the same results feel like im wasting my time and hospitals time :x

1970, taking control of your diabetes will mean that you will minimise your contact with doctors if your control of you blood glucose improves

I'm fed up with T2 too
My diagnosis wasn't a surprise - I'd had gestational diabetes, a strong family history and about 3 years ago I was insulin resistant.
The first change I made to my diet, when I knew nothing s about what makes me spike was simply that sugar will put up my glucose levels. So I started by cutting out added sugar to anything I ate, I also cut out any kind of sweets and junky tretas. These simple measures brought my levels down when I had fasting blood tests over several weeks at the doctors while there were busy diagnosing me.
I then looked around for a diet that would meet my needs to keep my blood glucose low so that my risk of developing compluications is minimised and would let me eat out, eat the same food as my son and entertain relatives and friends.
You need to make small changes and set simple targets. Test you blood at the times you know you have your biggests spikes - for me 1 hour after a meal - and then use that inforamtion to change your diet.

mine was a bit of a shock when for my hgv med and failed on high bp only when to my doc give me higher dose that sorted that but now having prob down below i have rejuced my dose and it back to norm i know this is wrong but what else can i do but when my doc sent of the result he notice the diabeties dvla say can still have a hgv liecence but do i want to spend 2 000 pound then find i go to type 1 3 weeks after and loose my liecence just not worth it now have to plod on what i doing spose

T2s do not turn in to T1s simply by taking insulin. They are different diseases with similar symptoms - high blood sugar.
If you take control of your diabetes the risk of needing insulin will reduce - has anyone mentioned this to you or is simply a fear you have?
There are other professional drivers using this site who have had the same worries as you. You might want to start another thread to make contact with them
