Progress with low carb diet, no meds

I had a follow-up HbA1c last week after initial type 2 diagnosis in Feb. Down from 48 to 43 on diet alone. I have though weaned myself off beta blockers prescribed for migraine. Not all good news as I feel fuzzy headed a lot of the time and have woken up in the middle of the night with headaches on a few occasions. Seeing nurse next week for review.....

Thanks everyone here as the information available is amazing !

Hi,
Well done on your achievement, it is best to wean off drugs very slowly and with Drs input.
Glad your seeing the nurse about your headaches.
Take care

I have also made good progress with a low carb diet from Hba1c 48 to 37 in 8 months.
Also lost 7 KG in weight as a bonus.
Stopped taking meds (Glucophage SR 500mg) with the consent of the DN.

Yes, low carb, 20-30 gr per day is the key. It can be done.

NHS recommends 150 gr carbs per day, which will never work.
