HI All,

Just thought I'd share my progress over the last couple of weeks since being diagnosed as Type 2.
Was diagnosed with fasting BG of 17.4 but since then I've had some of the following readings before then 2 hours after food, and I've pretty much cut out all snacks...
Readings first thing in morning have been as follows:
Day 1= 8.8, Day 2 = 9.5 Day 3 =8.2, Day 4 = 8.1, Day 5 = 7.1, Day 6 - 6.3, Day 7 = 6.3, Today = 6.2

As for my readings immediately before and then 2 hours after meals here are some typical results (there have been a few higher ones as I'm still figuring out which foods cause me to spike):
Before After
8.9 -14.1
8.2 - 10.4
7.7 - 10.7
8.0 - 10.3
8.1 - 8.9
7.0 - 8.7
7.1 - 8.0
6.5 - 7.6
6.3 - 8.2
6.2 - 6.6
5.2 - 6.2

I can't believe how changing my diet in terms of types of food and portion size has made a noticeable difference in these numbers.
Hopefully things keep improving further!

This posting is really helpful to me - I'm at about the third row of your readings, so hopefully if I keep going I will get to the 5s and 6s

Excellent results @sshaw99. I too am amazed at what you can do - when you have the right information at your fingertips.
