Had consultant review yesterday and have got my hba1c down from 6.2 to 5.3 and cholesterol down to a happy level (was 9.1 not long back) sadly as i have done so well cant have tresiba but what the heck levemir almost works lol .Consultant looked at my daily log and said "i dont have any other patients with these figures you must have worked hard" then discharging me from hospital clinic care back to gp care shook my hand and said "you are a lovely patient" wow I felt soooo good and what a lovely man

Very well done. I have never even seen a doctor, just the diabetic nurse so I basically manage myself!
