My vision in my right eye us geting worse and i had s nassive haemirage on wed night which blocjed 70 of my vusion with red splodges. I niw have a haze where the splodges were and waiting to see eye doc this wed. Had anyine experienced similar?? I am so scared i will end up blind.
Each time i go to the hospital the docs are very vague and end up telling me i need to chill out. So much easier said than done. Especially after going to moorfields eye hospitals a and e dept ladt wed where the dic faid it needs more trestment urgently.
I have dtsrted taking pycngenol and billberry ectract but dont know if its too late.
Any response would be wrlcome ad i dont think my family understand how frightened i am by all of this. Why should they its not like its something they can see . Ive slso been told my kidneys arent functioning properly even though i am on meds for them already
Sorry to sound so gloomy about it but life feels pretty tough right now.

Eith my second daughter it wasnt controlled all. I have been on the DAFNE in feb and dud start to get a bit better control slthough many hypos so i do think this wss the cause of the retinopathy. I went for my retinsl screenung in november last year and all wad ok so it came on very quickly. my diabetic consultan has been talkung about s pump for 2 years so im hoping that if i get one it might help with control. Apparently my diabetes is very brittle so i guess i could say im lucky thst this is my first lot if complicstions.[/q
You migh be interested to know leb that my eye specialist helped me to ge control of my diabetes. I am T2 had always had good readings on my meter but occasionally horrendous spikes. My local practice just wanted me to go on insulin.as well as all my meds. My readings were always in the 4s / I shudder to think of thepossible results.
My HBAiCs were getting higher because of the spikes. The eye consultant arranged for me to see a diabees consultant.
He gave me sitagliptin - which the paractice could have but wouldn't and sent them instructions for my future treatment.
At around the same time I discovered this forum and started low carbing and have not had a poor result since.
IIt is imperative that your levels are as good as they can be. with regard to the retinopathy it may well be that the hospital will help you to get your pump . I hope so.
When i spoke of being assertive i meant in being seen by someone I could trust. There is no point in pushing them over a prognosis . They just can't do it. Especially with your brittle diabetes. You sound lke a prime candidate for a pump.
I should ask if they can help you to get one .
