I am preparing a proposal to put to my surgery. I am going to ask them to consider a test study on T2s. I am going to give them some background, my story and a request that they study the results of T2's on diet. I am also going to request that T2's in the study are given meters and strips for a period of 6 months.
It is currently a work in progress.
If I can produce something that could be used as a template, would any of you be interested in using it.
In my personal experience, the issue wasn't any form of template, it was the appetite for change. Full stop.
I am Six-Sigma (amongst other things) qualified, so very able to sst up and run effectively a data gathering exercise (based on LC for T2). I offered to facilitate learning and embedding workshops, but was informed "It's just not for us".
To be candid, this was around 2 years ago now, and more and morer info is out there in the public domain, so it's about time I tried again. I was only thinking again, this evenong, that this could be helpful leverage:

Clearly the DCUK data is based on the Low Carb Programme (LCP), but now, since QISMET Approval, that is available for GPs to prescribe, it's all grist to the mill.
Last time, I was going for setting up a variation on a theme to the
@Southport GP work, but now I'd likely go for straightforward prescribing of the LCP. Far less pre-work and a consistent delivery to the participants.
Of course, I would really like to include testing in there, but I think the LCP would encourage that whether GP supported or self-funded.
