Apologies for going totally off topic but I'm interested that your GP booked you in for a scan because in July my GP referred me to a specialist who referred me for a scan, this was meant to be fast track and took 20 days to get to the scan stage then another two weeks to be told I needed surgery. Two weeks after being told, on the morning of surgery, the surgeon said the scan doesn't tell them everything and he didn't know what he would find. So seven weeks after going to GP I was told after surgery that I had a burst appendix, peritonitis and an abscess from the appendix to the duodenum.I thought at the time if my GP had referred me for the scan at the start, we could have cut a few weeks out of that drawn out process. Once again, apologies for going off topic. Good luck with your scan.</blockquote>
