Hi
I just wanted to share "quakers protein porridge "
I was very sceptical as porridge is carbs and golden syrup right?
Well ive tryied this in evening just before i go and do my last job at night and im only out for about 1.5 hours and my bloods might be 7 to may 8mmol
But after work and 2hours later my bloods have dropped to 4.9 to 5.8.
May be an expensive way to get what is essentially instant oats and whey protein. I did use to get versions of similar then gave up when I went low carb. And as you've identified some brands have sweetness added.
But if your meter says yes and they are convenient why not?? Alternatives could be using big bags of cheaper less processed oats plus either an egg whisked in or a dollop of coconut oil or nut butter. Anything to slow the rise of your blood sugar down....

People are also reported to generally be more carb tolerant in the evening than in the morning.
Personally, my body wouldnt respond well to 27g carbs at any time of day
