Hi @ghost_whistler ..I find that I need about 100g protein a day. I'm eating 2 pork belly slices for breakfast (about 20-25g), two chicken thighs for lunch (34g according to the packaging), and a portion of meat of some kind (pork or chicken averaging around 30g) for dinner.
Unfortunately, this is proving to be pretty expensive, shopping for the most part in tesco.
Sorry, that was the protein content. That's what the numbers refer to.30g piece of chicken has about 8g of protein in.
can you eat dairy? eggs?
I have tried bacon and sausage. Don't get on with eggs or tomatoes though.Hi @ghost_whistler ..
Have you tried a full english breakfast of:
Bacon - 37g protein .. 1.4g carbs
Sausage - 15g protein .. 0.7g carbs
Fried Eggs - 14g protein .. 0.8g carbs
plus, maybe ..
Tomato - 0.9g protein .. 3.9g carbs
Mushroom 2.8g protein .. 0.4g carbs
(all measures based on 100g servings)
A simple tasty meal to start the day giving you 70.7g protein and just 7.2 grams of carbs
Hope this helps
I'm not staying sated for hours. What are you eating for breakfast?I find my food bill hasnt gone up, in fact, I think it has dropped a bit.
A cooked breakfast will keep you going for hours. I only need to eat twice a day now, and I save money on all the carbs and fruit, fruit juice, cereals etc i used to buy.

How would you determine the calories you should be eating? As we have said before, on your other thread, its not about hunger. Its about having had sufficient for your needs. It is Ok to be feeling hungry before the next meal, or in between meals. If you know you have had enough calories, you stop, regardless of what your stomach may be telling you.
I seem to need at least 100g protein a day.Perhaps fasting is in order to reset whatever unbalance you're going through. That will certainly save money
