Protein shakes

In my quest for a quick and easy breakfast I was looking at protein shakes. Are they good for low carb diet, if so which is best/worst? Am I best making my own and if so what protein powder is best? And where can I get it from?

They are OK with full fat Greek yoghurt and a few berries and nuts thrown in but not so good just with water. I avoid milk due to lactose. either way go online and choose one based on the carb content as you would with any other food. be careful as some have a lot of added sugar. buy from Amazon any bodybuilding website or Holland and Barrett.

Hi,

I use a low carb whey protein I found in the supermarket. Avoid the flavoured ones with chocolate etc, since they have lots of sugar.

I blend it with soya milk, greek yoghurt and raspberries and/or blackberries. I have one waiting in the fridge for breakfast tomorrow.

I have been known to throw in half an avocado sometimes.

Thanks folks, I was looking at Holland and Barrett at some whey protein. Does anyone know if the penny sale applies to different flavours of the same product?
