I accompanied my dad to his diabetic review with the diabetes nurse today. He's 75 and I try to go with him to doc appointments as he's of the generation who does what HCP says and doesn't ask questions - it wouldn't surprise me if his medical notes warn of the pushy daughter

6 months ago he was diagnosed with type 2 with HbA1c of 51. It's now 43, his cholesterol is reduced and he has lost 2 stone. He's done it by reducing carbs - nothing crazy, just eating less bread, potatoes, fruit and eating more fish and sticking to his eggs, bacon etc.

Proud of him for his results and asking questions of the nurse!

That's great news and good that he has your support

Total respect for your father, his discipline and results !
Wish that I will remain as compliant as your father when I get old and have children who cares as much as you do.
