Proud of us!!

My 9 year old was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and we've had many ups and downs since! I have been so proud of him injecting himself and taking control of his diabetes( as much as a 9 year old can!) First proper check up with the Endo yesterday and his Hba1c was 8.2, which doc was delighted with as based on 6 weeks not 3 months:) fingers crossed we keep it dropping!!

Nice work! I have my 6 week check in a week today, if I get anything half as good as that ill be chuffed!

Well done jasperc.

We had our little girls' 3 month check on Thursday and she was 6.7. So proud of her and its so nice to know that all the effort and rigorous carb counting is worth the effort (although we knew that already)!

Needless to say, she managed to wangle another teddy bear out of us... :)
