For the last while I have been exploring the psychological/emotional causes of physical illness. I understand how it works for things like the common cold or anxiety. I have been toying with the idea that maybe my Type 1 Diabetes could also have an emotional root cause? Has anyone ever explored such an option?
I was diagnosed when I was 11. My father has Type 1 since he was 14. None of my other 8 siblings have diabetes tg. Out of all my siblings, or anyone in my extended family, I have the most similar personality to my father. We are almost identical in this area (my mother cant get over it:
). I am wondering if there is a certain type of psychological profile or stressors that effect the body in such a way that it brings about the destruction of insulin producing cells...?
