Thought I'd bring a wry smile to your faces. I have seen several LCHF recipes using psyllium husk, including one for waffles. We struggled to find it but in the end it turned out that our corner shop had it. At first, the lady didn't know what my husband was trying to buy but then she realised, explaining to my husband that she only knew the Hindi word for it. She was surprised that we were adding it to a recipe as she has only ever heard of it being used as a laxative. Anyway, we made the recipe, as per the instructions and ate 2 waffles each. Sure enough, our walk into town became more of a challenge as we strove to get there as quickly as possible in order to locate the nearest loo. Has anyone else had this experience with psyllium husk? Not keen to make this recipe again despite the new waffle maker!
