Not diabetes related, but Oh my god! I slept funny and have such stiff muscle in my neck. I sleep in wierd positions anyway but this time must have really slept right bent up.

Know what you mean! I can only go to sleep if I am in a certain position and have tried to "wean" myself off it but no matter what I try if I'm not in that position I stay awake for ages. You could try putting something warm on it - hot water bottle, wheatie thing that warms up in microwave. Not ideal in this weather but it might ease the pain. I sometimes use a small TENS machine that I got on a special offer from Lloyds some time ago which sort of taps for a while and then kneads. Only trouble is if you forget about it you can get a bit of a shock when it taps you on the shoulder - especially when there's no one else in the house.

:D I put some deep heat on it this morning, that helped my move to get up, then general moving about has helped, but still achs like hell.

Will put some more on later.

I get that sometimes too, not at all nice, sometimes reaching back in the car can give me neck spasms. I find running hot water on it in the shower helps.
