So although some older models have been cracked to enable them to loop, your existing 640G won't let you.  I think the Medtronic 780G can do it's own closed loop but only with the Medtronic CGM system.As others have said, I'd petition your diabetes team to make available one of the ones on the AAPS compatible pumps list, if I were you.  That's what I did when my 640G went out of warranty, and I moved over to a Dana RS, then more recently a Dana i.  I've been happily looping with AAPS, ever since.</blockquote>
