Hi just looking advice on how to get the pump I'm type one on four injections a day nove rapid 3 times and plants solo star at night blood suger are high ish but lot better that what there where a few year ago were 22 every three months now down to 10 hb1c I think ya call do I qualify for a pump are is it just uf your really bad at controlling you get your name put forward by gp are diabitic nurse thanks andy
 
Best bet would be speak to you gp or consultant if you have one

Just been told I qualify not because bad control but because difficulty with basal Bolus due to my lifestyle

Even though if been referred to the hospital to goto the next stage nothing will happen until covid issues are gone
 
I qualified to get a pump because although I had excellent control, I was taking up to 18 injections a day to achieve it.
 
I have a job that is sometimes very active so too much basal and I crash quite quick if I take a lower dose then I battle at other times to keep my bg down which is why I qualify
 
Hello,

It might be best to speak to your diabetes consultant. You’ll need to do a carb counting course, but I fear it might be difficult during the pandemic. But do ask to get more information on it.
 
I was asked by my consultant to do the bertieonline course. I have just checked my online hospital records and there is an appointment in the pump clinic for July

Just wish I knew the pumps they offer so I can read and semi decide what I would like if I’m given a choice
