My husband is type 2 diabetic on 3 metformin a day.

Last night he said he woke up in the middle of the night and the soles of his feet were ‘pale purple’. I slept on! After walking around a bit normal colour returned.he is always saying his feet are cold but not to touch. Any ideas. Thanks

It’s all too easy to blame any symptoms on diabetes, but this problem he has could be caused by something completely unrelated. If it continues to bother him I suggest a visit to his GP.

my brother gets purple hands in the cold these days due blood pressure medication he was prescribed after having 4 stents put in.

I take an anticoagulant, which certainly has affected my response to cold among other things, and not in a good way.
