Hi all

I bought my self a test meter about 2 weeks ago. My wife and I had a voucher for 2 for 1 on anything in the local Chemists so we ended up with 2.

Anyway, my wife has been having giddy & funny turns for quite a while, usually an hour or so after a meal. Not being serious about things, I suggested she check her blodd with the "spare" meter. To our surprise she got some really odd readings, and these have us wondering. Here's an example.

Before eating (overnight fasting) 5.2
An hour after breakfast 4.6
Two hours after breakfast 3.8

Other times the two hour reading is 3.2...

Breakfast is a coffee & bacon sandwich....
Lunch CousCous & Vegetables
Dinner, Curry & Rice.

Snacks in between are fruit & sandwichs.

She gets "giddy" and light headed with readings of 3.8, and very hungry.

Thoughts ?

I would be trotting off to the Docs to be honest, you can have hypoglycemia without being diabetic and with those readings with that amount of carbs in the diet, I would imagine it is related to something else.

Could be metabolism related for instance.
