I’m used to getting occasional Libre 2/plus sensor pressure lows from lying on it in bed, but can you get hypers from release? Eaten nothing this morning, but been up getting washed and dressed so might expect a gradual BG dump to c.8 readings, not 12 and rising vertically! It’s now doing a u- turn to 9.7 steady… very odd…sensor malfunction, with loaded Fiasp in hand fortunately not taken?

not necessary sensor malfunction it would appear to me that libre senser to get readings closer to realtime than lag delay... likes to show prediction. reason im thinking that is if you eg eat something check the level (10-15 min delay) before goes up. if continue to watch the readings for another 10-15 minutes the graph can 'correct itself' with the plotted lines moving right before your eyes.

oh ps its also perhaps the reason that the instructions for it clearly state to check both highs and lows against fingerprick and should not use the cgm to make medical decisions, although thats counter intiuative as the cgm is designed to assist in treatment ;)

Honestly, I’d wait on any insulin until you’ve done a finger-prick check. Libre’s awesome for spotting trends, but it doesn’t always give perfectly accurate real-time numbers — especially after sleeping or being active.

whilst i agree with fingerprick the best method (for at home).. some like myself can't irrational fears suck.

I think it probably relates to the manner the sensor predicts what is happening, this case wrongly : the sensor pressure this am caused a cliff like response into hypo 2s, but then as pressure removed quite naturally there was a rebound and in the process it missed the normal actual BG and thought it was going into a vertical cliff face upwards. It’s a recently attached sensor…and literally as I write this sitting on a sofa it’s dropped vertically down from c.6 into red hypo…very odd, perhaps it is faulty. I have had numerous Libre 2 Plus this summer just drop off…I’m assuming the glue sticking to skin has been compromised.

or can try likes of amazon search libre overpatch. that maybe help with issue of them falling off. curious do you have oily skin if so worth trying alcohol wipe and waiting a good few minutes til completely dry. aim for flat as possible area as well that is unlikely to change when tense muscles etc so possible movement of the sensor wont be as likely.
i swim daily hour+ at a time. few days ago was very difficult removing sensor which was doa shut itself off after couple of hours of activating.

I’m a 5x a week swimmer too, but only once in 2 years had a sensor problem with pool water. I do have a more oily skin, but not on upper arms, I wear mine high up near shoulder where less muscle movement and largely out off water including a bath. I think it was one ( or two) lot(s) that were badly stored ( or left in lorry) with sensors left in hot weather that was the problem, even the closure of the yellow box had slipped by 1/2 inch. Since it happened , and got replacements, they have been better, so perhaps Abbott stressed the correct storage methods.

How should the FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors be stored?

The FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors should be stored at 4°C - 25°C.

So if + 25 maybe fridge better as long as its above4 ...

personally wouldnt accept if the box appeared dmg'd would hand straight back to the pharmacy or if courier delivered...state straight away box damaged.
