I got this message on Facebook and I copied and pasted it but I have been told that I'm wrong. Could anybody please rectify this for me so I can change my wall if it's wrong. Thanks in advance.

I would like to highlight the government removing the subsidy for blood test strips. Diabetics need very frequent blood testing possibly 5+ times a day. The cost of strips is £70.00 and the outcome could be reduced blood glucose testing and more hospital admissions from hyper or hypo glycemic Diabetes . . . I am asking if everyone could put this as their status for 1 hour. I'm pretty sure I know the ones that will. Think of someone you know or love who has or has had diabetes.
Will you post it for 1 hour? To honor those who have fought or are fighting diabetes.
Hope to see it as your status.

I got this message and was wondering if there's any truth to it. I had pasted it on my wall and have been told it's all wrong, could you put me right please do I can correct my mistake if there is one. Thanks
 
No truth, in the UK, this has been discussed here before, it refer to our cousins down under
 
Well done for asking before continuing the myth. Always worth checking facts on somewhere like snopes, too. It's a deliberate untruth, too, because the currency is £, and ignoring that strips cost way less than £70 for 150.
