Whelks,winkles... All crustaceous seafood except prawns. Can't do crab.lobster or scallops.
Don't like the way they are killed and cooked. Save our Scallops. SOS !!!
Also HATE evaporated milk.
I am just in the middle of doing a Tesco online shop.
Delivery is only £3. It always is if you have it delivered between 3 and 4pm....
The way I look at it is the return bus fare is £2 so £3 to have it all shopped for you and delivered... Great value.

Anyway I have discovered that I love fizzy mineral water and have ordered 12 bottles at 17p for 2 litres and 8 lemons.
I am trying to cut back on my alcohol and need to lose some weight so I am hoping I can drink lemon flavoured water instead.

I am waiting for the GI for dummies book which I have ordered from Amazon and the Type 2 diabetes book that was recommended to me on here. I only joined last week... Feel like I have been here for ages.

I have learned a lot and have read lots of posts and need a bit of advice on what to buy regarding rice, pasta etc. I don't eat much of either really but I do like cous cous and was wondering about Quinoa? I had a look at the nutritional value of it but I didn't really understand it but it did look like it was high in carbs but low in fat....

Does anyone know if it is high in carbs please?

Here's a link which should give you the info ...

Quinoa is touted as being high in protein - and it a relatively good source of protein for vegetarians and alike - but it still has a hefty carb whack to it too. I can't eat quinoa - makes my blood sugars jump to 14 - but then I'm very 'carb intolerant' - especially when it comes to grains... Do you have a meter? You could eat a little and then test...? We're all so different...

Thanks for your answers folks.

I am seeing my nurse for the first time next Wednesday and apart from wanting precise readings from her I also want a monitor and really hope I can get one.

Then I can do some testing....
