Questions for those on Toujeo

Hello, I'm trying to get some user feedback on Toujeo.

Is there anyone who moved from a glargine basal e.g. Lantus to Toujeo? I'm hearing mixed reports on the number of units that users are injecting. Some users are finding they need the exact same number of units they were on with Lantus. Others are using a little less. Whereas others are using more with Toujeo compared to Lantus.

Very interested in your experiences.

Thanks.

I was on Lantus since it hit the market was moved to Toujeo in November of last year.
My Endo said to take 80s units of Toujeo because that was what I was taking for Lantus, but over the course of the first month I was hyper (10 to 15) I was having to inject high amounts of Humalog just to stay close to my normal range (4 to 6). So I just started adding 5 units a week to what I was taking until I started to normalize, when I got back to my normal numbers I was up to 100 units of Toujeo so NOT pleased at all as a pen only last 3 days with the forth day needing to be split with another pen = I'm paying 350.00 a MONTH for my back ground insulin supply which means I can't afford it each month so have started to learn that I can actually take it every other day and still have decent control (4 to 8 instead of my 4 to 6 control).
