I'll be moving on to one of these pumps soon and I have to tell my diabetes team which one I'd prefer. I'm very unlikely to get funding for either CGM system, which other threads on here seem to focus on. So if you have either of these pumps, can I ask:

1. Once you got used to it, how easy is it to change infusion sets and reservoirs?
2. How often do you get leakages?
3. Have you had to contact the pump's customer service and, if so, how good was it?
4. Are there any things that annoy you about your pump?
5. Is there anything else you wish you'd known before choosing your pump?

Hi
Into week 3 of my tandem tslim. Whilst the handset is ace and easy to use. The filling of the cartridge is cumbersome, as is the cannula. Both seem over complicated to me and use a lot of time and also waste quire a lot of insulin. I have just watched a YouTube clip of a guy giving his feedback- the for and against- have to say I agree entirely with everything he says.
Maybe you have decided already but good luck.
As with all things practice makes perfect or nearly. Makes the Insight seem like a walk in the park.

I find the Medtronic 780G very quick, easy and straightforward to change reservoir and infusion sets. Over the past 10 years on Medtronic pumps I've never had any problems with leaking. I've found the customer service very good. In the UK NICE has recommended that CGM is considered for all patients with type 1 diabetes if they so desire and feel able to cope with it. I've found it very helpful.
