A few years ago im almost sure I seen on my medical record I was glucose intolerance although I may have been mistaken.

Regardless that was a few years ago. Over this last week I have drinking up to of 3 litres of water per day. The office i work in is usually around 25c on a cold day I would also sleep for a few hours after work.

What is the likelihood I am diabetic?

pretty good chance, but there are other things for thirst as well...time to see the Dr today

Going to the pharmacy on Sat morning who is also a Dr to get tested and see what he says. May get referred to my own GP just take it from there I guess.

if you start to feel sick or get ache/cramps, go straight to A&E otherwise tomorrow might be ok

Oh I don't feel sick or anything thankfully.

that's a good sign, as long as you know if it was me, I'd see a dr today, are the out of hours still open? or A&E

Our Dr doesn't have an open surgery just by appointment only. Your talking 2 weeks to get an appointment.

go to A&E then, you need a diagnosis, it could be your heart liver or kidney instead

Will do.
See this has only happened over the last week before hand I was drinking about 1.5 litres of water during the working week.

I think it could also be working in a warm environment which is making me dry. Some days I will drink more and someways I will drink less, just depends really.

While I'm at home I wouldn't drink nearly as much. I am overweight but working on getting that down to a more manageable level.

Go to A&E with excessive thirst?? I can just imagine how that'll go.....
Go to a Tesco or Sainsbury pharmacy tomorrow for a diabetes test. To be honest if I was working in 25c all day everyday I'd be thirsty too...

Yeah. Going to go to the local pharmacy who is a GP anyway and he will do the finger prick test.

Hopefully I should be ok

A fingerprick test isn't really conclusive as it's just a specific moment in time, but it will let you know if you've got raised blood glucose levels.
As Jack said there can be several reasons for excessive thirst, but that doesn't mean you've got any of them.
Good luck and let us know how you get on

I agree an A&E visit is not relevant at this time unless you feel ill. Get to a pharmacy and ask for a finger prick test. It will give you some idea of where your bloods are and re-assure you if they are anywhere near normal. From that test you may want to see the doc and possibly get a fuller blood test done. Together with thirst you usually have frequent peeing and sometimes blurred vision if diabetic

Pop into a local pharmacy it should give you an idea i guess and you dont have to wait for the whole weekend.

Yeah going to call in this morning and see what they say. Funnily enough it was 22c in the office, I drank 1 litre of water compared to 2-3 litres.

I seem to only do this during working hours im guessing it's the heat more than anything else.
