When I first arrived on this forum the advice wasn't to walk after a meal it was to run up and down the stairs several times, as many times as you could manage. I gave that a go a few times and saw no drop at all. I have no recollection if it made matters worse BG wise, but it definitely didn't help me. I have never tried the walking after a meal as it doesn't fit in with the way we live. Now my levels are good post meal, average less than 1mmol/l rise at 2 hours and normally under 7 at an hour or 90 minutes, I don't need to worry about it. My mother would turn in her grave at the thought of walking, and especially running up and down stairs after eating - we had to sit and let the food digest.
