Raising money for Type1 research?

Hello,
My daughter who has just only turned 2 end of May was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We are now based in France, and I am trying to find ways to raise money for medical research. I lived in the UK for many years and used to participate in sports challenges to support specific sicknesses. Would you know of any sports challenges which would help fund the research for Type1 Diabetes? Thank you.

You could contact the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I was on my way to work in the City the other day, got out at Bank tube station and heard music coming from a marquee. It was the JDRF and they had lots of volunteers spinning on bikes to raise money. I think they hold fairly regular fundraisers. It totally choked me up to see so many people who don't even know me trying so hard to help me.
