Ran Out Of Insulatard - What Should I Do?

I'm 20 years old and have been diabetic since I was 9. I am a type 1 diabetic & take Insulatard/Actrapid twice a day.

My dosages are as follows...

AM

Insulatard - 48 units
Actrapid - 56 units

PM

Insulatard - 30 units
Actrapid - 30 units

Unfortunately, upon going to do my evening injection 30 minutes ago, I dropped my last vial of Insulatard & smashed it all over the floor. I now have none left until tomorrow morning when I can go to the Doctor's. I gave myself my Actrapid dose as normal, but was wondering what I should do about my insulatard dose. Would it be a good idea to take maybe 6-10 units of Actrapid every hour until I go to bed, seeing as I'm unable to inject any Insulatard until tomorrow morning?

I'm not quite sure what to do as this hasn't really happened to me before.

Thanks a lot in advance.

hya,
i really dont know so u may be best to fone nhs direct :D

At this stage any advice is a little late but I will say always over-stock, so to speak, so you never run out. Also, good god do not bother with nhs direct/24 whatever they are these days.

Probably a bit late but do you have a casualty/hospital near you.I would ring them and tell them what happened ,see if they will help.
