Rash and blood sugar

Hello on Monday I woke up with a little patch of rash on my chest - Tuesday the rash was every where I was told it was an allergic reaction - my question isn't the rash but the effect on my blood sugar my blod sugar has jumped from its normal range to 9 - 14.9 mmol/l which isn't normal for me - I'm t1 with really on point control is the rash / allergy reaction making my sugar high please help

Illness in general can cause raised levels. Keep a closer eye on levels and.may.need to.temporarily increase baal and bolus ratios whilst your body fights against clearing the rash. Have you seen a gp about it. Also during periods of raised levels especially illness advisable to check for ketones. hope it clears soon and your levels settle.

More than likely yes, in times of stress,illness & injury it's quite normal for bg to be elevated until things settle down, you'll need to increase your insulin to compensate.
