[QUOTE="CherryH, post: 362664, member: 60165"] I recently read a fascinating article bestowing the virtues of raw organic chocolate. The nutritional value of raw cacao beans sounded wonderful - good for the heart, safe for diabetics, the delights of organic chocolate bursting with goodness, poly-phenols, anti-oxidants, nutrients and minerals.... etc etc. So I bought some, I even bought raw organic cacao nibs, raw chocolate coated mulberries and goji berries - I felts pleased with myself for taking my recent pre-diabetic diagnosis so seriously and concientously. Then I had a tummy upset. Surely not the raw organic cacao chocolate? So I googled it and found conflicting information - one applauded its health properties, the other cautioned it as toxic. Any advice? I could add links of both, but you might get bored with too much to read. Just wondered if any of you had heard of this chocolate - even boasting of being good for diabetics. Thanks!
