re-call of test srips

I just caught the other night on BBC news it was scrolling across the bottom that 1.7 million test strips for glucose testing have been re called owing to them giving false readings, Did anyone see this and have you heard anything ?

It's glucomen lx.
The company knew in November that they could give false readings and stopped issuing but have just recalled.
Hope they get into trouble for that as it can be dangerous for type 1's.
