I didn't want to hijack the posters thread so starting another, after speaking to the Rep they want pics of all the air bubbles in the tubing and in any cartridges ( the cartridges are not supposed to have any bubbles in so if any of you have them please contact novonordisk ) I have had at least 6 in just over a year.

Also we have an Induction hob and I mentioned this, the rep was not informed about the effect of these hobs on Insulin pumps but just the hansets so they are going to contact Roche's main office in Germany to see if this could be having an effect on the pump.

I am on a TDD of insulin of around 20 units a day so some of the larger air buubles maybe 4,5,6 and some as large as 25 mm bubbles can have a bad effect on my readings as seen on my diasend page, so if anyone on the insight pump are having problems or bubbles in cartridges inform either Novonordisc or Roche on they helplines

I forgot to add I handed a cart back to my DSN with a large bubble in it on Wednesday

Hi @Gaz-M and thanks for this post - I'd heard the thing about induction hobs (and magnetic fields) so am going to be vigilant.

So far - touch wood - I haven't had an episode of Bubblegate, but I will certainly contact Roche if I get any in the hosepipe, or Novo Nordisk if a cartridge is bubbly.

Hope you're coping okay with it all - it must be so frustrating!

:)

Thanks Snapsy, yeah I,m managing ok but having to do a full set change every 3 day instead of my normal 6 days with me having to prime the bubbles out so much. There was 3 bubbles in this afternoon all of them 4mm long

:arghh::banghead::arghh: @Gaz-M ! Hang on in there..... although they really really do need to jolly well sort you out with kit that works....
