The husband was getting his BS down, he had a week now of consistently low readings apart from 1 today which was really high. He's been under 8 for a week but today it spiked to 10.8
All he had was beef stew with veg, then sugar-free jelly and cream. He doesn't cheat at all and it's getting him down again
Can I ask if this happens to other people ?

My son has been having one high (between 200 and 300) everyday at 10am which is when he tests his BS for his snack..... Needless to say no snack. Have increased his insulin 3 time to try and combat this.... No joy. Hopefully will have a solution from the hospital on thursday.

What was in the stew, Ming? Thickeners have carbs in them and some sugar free products have other sugars which could cause the rise!

Hi Sue - Beef stew with cabbage, onion, bit of garlic, one tiny carrot, handful of lentils, mixed herbs, is all. No thickeners for the gravy.
It was double cream but he only had one dessertspoonful.
