Really worried. Found a hard lump on my eyeball!

I found a hard lump on my eyeball itself. I felt it while rubbing the lower lid just below my eye.
What worries me is that the lump is on the eyeball itself. Its hard and does not move.
Not sure if its diabetes related. I did an internet search and all I could see was pages on eye cancer and now I am so freaked out. Not slept a wink and am off to A&E.

Has anyone had anything like this?

Thanks

Glad you're attending to it quick smart. I have no idea but really wishing you all my best :) The last thing any of us need so crossing fingers for you mate

Might be a cyst or perhaps something else?

Mike

Thank you Mike. I am in such a panic. Surgery or loosing my eye is a huge concern. Just typing this has made me break out in a sweat.

Understand that completely. Take a LONG deep breath (and yes, I know that is hard as I'd probably be the same as you) and wait for some experts to attend to you. Impossible to give you any more comfort other than to say you're in my thoughts and wishing you everything I would wish for myself:)

I've had eye problems, but never a lump. You have done the right thing by taking yourself off to A&E to get it investigated.

Wishing you all the very best for a happy outcome.

My sister had a lump on her eyeball that turned out to be an ulcer, she had it removed by laser at the hospital is fine now. I hope all goes well for you xx

It could be a sebacious cyst. They are not serious. I had one on the back of my head. It was quite small for about 7 years, then recently it got bigger and troublesome. While I was waiting for a minor op to have it removed, it mysteriously disappeared!

Best of luck for getting it sorted x

Hi mate we can all just speculate but I really hope wish and pray everything is fine
Keep us posted.

Glad that you took yourself off to A&E quickly .
Best place for you - thinking of you .

Can imagine how you must be feeling too .
Please let us know how things went .

Phew, that's a better outcome, pleased for you, but hope no surgery is needed.
Take care RRB

Great news. I am possibly as glad as you at the news. I have a huge fear of anything relating to my eyes (and other peoples) It took me several tries to finish this thread.

I should have followed my true calling :) Glad my first guess was correct

Now go catch up on sleep brother :)

See my first post (first response) to omnipod:) I just took a stab in the dark about a cyst ... and glad I was right
