Hey @Cumberland . Brilliant. It's definitely official you are today's Top Banana. Just a little something to mark your achievements.
Sadly I have to complain. On seeing the thread title I was expecting to be given information about cheap French cars.

That's excellent - I bet you feel a hell of a lot better too - the Highest my BGs have ever gotten to was 28 and I felt like **** - can't imagine what it would be like with BGs in the 50s - you must of been a walking zombie!

Thank you @fletchweb

I work in a hospital and had been running above the meter which went up to 33.0 and after that it said Hi(high) so not sure what my true reading was

So at work I went to A&E they tested and got a reading of 59, they did ask how was I managing, put on IV insulin right away and admitted within half an hour silent 4 nights in hospital

I just recall struggling to stand up on my feet from a chair and the walk to A&E felt like a marathon

Alls well now thanks

Best wishes to you

Results like this don't come without a tonne of hard graft. Really well done. I am tickled pink for you. A good news story to start the weekend in style

Well done, I think when I first joined they thought you were type 2 so great progress on the right medication.

Thank you @Hitsme

Yes years 25+ of being Type 2 and re diagnosed as T1 last July
New insulin (Toujeo) has helped bring down my unacceptable levels
