Hello, I have read in this email that if one is over 50 or obese they would have to stay at home in the autumn if a second wave of Covid 19 came to England or my area.. I am over 50 but not obese. Quite the opposite in fact. Does this mean I would have to stay at home for three months during the autumn period? Hope not.

The idiocy of this government knows no bounds so we’ll just have to wait and see what ridiculous rules they come up with next I guess...then decide if you want to follow them or not.

That would be a fantastic way to really destroy the economy further than already done. I sometimes wonder if they release these headlines just so that when they do release some ridiculous lesser policy we accept it without question because we’ve heard it could be worse

I don't understand the reasoning to this, at all. The stats clearly show that over 70 with preexisting condition is by far the hardest hit demographic. Probably a good 95% of fatalities, the last time I saw figures. Is this perhaps Boris dealing with his brush with death, being obese (though not morbidly so) and in his mid 50s? The reasoning being that if it can nearly kill him, then it could kill others of similar age and health. The difference, of course, is that that we won't be going round shaking the hand of every Covid-19 patient we can find, thus exposing ourselves to massive viral loads.

What email?

Hi,

I have to agree with @Mr_Pot . "What email?" If you can reproduce this document for the benefit of this topic. Please omit any of your own personal details.
(For your own online security.)

There is a lot of fake and misleading covid info that is started via email or social media and then gets spread by the slightly gullible. (I admit to having briefly believed some rather dubious covid stories, before a sanity check made me realise their implausibility.) Think carefully before you spread or pass on anything not from a reputable source.....
