I've been a T1 for 25+ years.
For the last few years I've managed to stay in my range 6-10. I carb count and have had a 1-4 during day, and 1-2 evening ratio and this has pretty much worked keeping me in the green on Libre.
Since the beginning of month, my A1c has shot up to 8.4 from 6.5. Now I'm often getting peaks of 20mmol before meals.

Previously, small increases in Novorapid have brought me back.

Now I've almost ignored the ratio and just tried injecting 60 unit with each meal and 30 mins later if still above 10, another 10 units every hour only to find a 2 unit drop., previously I was injecting 60 units a day now 180!
I've tried differnt batches / boxes of Novorapid. I've increased my Toujeu and split before bed and morning.

I've been here before, I feel mostly OK. Thrush has returned (expected), extreme tiredness. No hypos, it's 2am. Normally I'd be around 8mmol, it's currently 14.

I'll call the nurses on Monday and see what they think, maybe try and see a doctor in person, something I haven't managed to do since 2019 before Covid (As my consultant is still shielding)
I might from tomorrow reduce my carb drastically. I take an appetite suppressor.

Could the appetite suppressor affect your blood sugar levels? For myself, I find that when my blood sugar is reacting in unexpected ways, reducing carbs and the corresponding bolus insulin taken, gets me back on track and after a few days I increase my carbs back to about 70/day. Less than 50 carbs a day, no matter how much fat I eat, makes me lose weight which I cannot afford to do. The high blood sugar you are experiencing is at least part, if not all, of the reason you feel tired. I hope you get this sorted out soon.
