Help! I was dianosed recently as type 2 diabetic due to family history of diabetes. I had impaired glucose tolerance for around 10 years previously and my fasting blood glucose levels have been and still are pretty constant at around 7.1, occasionally slightly higher but never above 7.5. I have other health conditions which have contributed to the type 2 diagnosis as well. I'm struggling to accept it because my levels are still the same, and all of a sudden I'm craving foods that I would never normally even consider eating!! And my sugar cravings have went off the scale. How do I get back on track as I'm diet controlled. I've read the newly diagnosed info and check the forum regularly, I'm still waiting for the dieticians appointment and feel like I'm in limbo : ((
