Recently diagnosed but now suffering from constant joint and hip pain

I did something similar 37 years back training? (Dance.) over pushed myself & didn’t feel it at the time had taken painkillers for a banging headache so as not to let the person I was training with down for the session..
& never felt it. But the following day?
It came & went over the years especially when my knee was knocked out.. (someone bumped into me once. Felt like I’d been stabbed in the right hand side of the groin? & stemming down the inside leg.)
Until about the last decade?
No recurrence. (T1 just insulin. No statins.)

I’m 57 years old..

The initial flexor injury was around 10-12 years ago, and was caused by turning round to the left, pivoting on the right foot. I was much heavier at the time and the flexor decided it had had enough. Possible design fault.

How is your hip pain

I had the same problems. I was on statins as a precaution (my cholesterol levels were actually ok) but the pain in my legs was terrible. Had Simvastatin at first & Dr changed me to Atorvastatin when I complained about the symptoms I was having. At the end of the day, she said it was my body & it was my decision. So was taken off them & things improved after that.

My sympathies as I have experienced exactly the same symptoms as you have described. I am also TD2 and take the same medication as you do with the exception of the Dapagliflozin for which I take 40 mg of Gliclazide. On two occasion I have had symptoms as described and this was diagnosed as Bursitis Iliopsoas. I am told that it is very common and more generally referred to a repetitive strain injury. Regretfully, there is no quick cure only rest and pain killers but if this is what you are suffering from, I can assure you it will get better. It does take time and patience and by that, I mean it could continue on a sliding scale for 3 – 4 months.
