Recently diagnosed type 2 , have a cold!

Hi all
I haven't seen a nurse yet and currently on Metformin 500mg twice daily , I have caught a very nasty cold (from my husband) , what can I take ? Is Lemsips okay to have and Sudafeds , not sure they work but make you feel slightly better .

If you can pop and see your local pharmacist, they will be able to advise you. I just take a couple of paracetamol and keep going ...
