HI Folks my name is JAY i am 36 and was daiagnosed with type 2 daiabeties 3 weeks ago. This was purely down to a random blood test at my doctors. So a bit of a shock to say the least. Very happy to see that there is a community for newly diagnosed people to turn to . Manythanks in advance Jay.

Hi Jay and welcome to the forum It is a shock when you are first diagnosed but when you learn more about it the shock will probably go! Have a good read around and ask any questions you want. There is also a good search facility that you may find useful. Here is some basic advice written by the Forum Monitors that you will probably find helpful:

Thanks Sue/Ken although my levels are starting to drop (oral meds) they are still in double figures.
My short term memory loss is unreal lol... It has taken me nearly 3 wks to finally join the forum ( couldnt remember my password etc ) Is this normal?
