Recycling Humulin KwikPen?

I'm newly diagnosed and wanted to know if you could recycle the Humulin KwikPens. I am from the UK (Suffolk)

Following the reduce, reuse, recycle paradigm, if you want to minimise the environmental impact, I recommend requesting reusable pens. These last for years and the cartridges take up much less space in your fridge.
