Hi there Everyone :)

I have recently been diagnosed Diabetic Type 2. I only went to the Docs to report that I felt tired and perhaps needed some iron and before you know I am here !

Had the retina thing done - all ok there but my eye sight test was not too good, deteriorating eye sight and signs of cataracts in the future :(

I am dreading the trip to the Podiatrist as for years now I have had reddish/pink toes and the same around the perimeters of my feet and at about the same time as that started my scalp started to itch incredibly to the point where I scratch, it bleeds, it scabs and I pick the scabs which bleed and become infected. The Doc has given me every potion known to man and nothing helps - I end up on antibiotics and then the cycle starts again.

Could these 2 problems be related to my having Diabetes ?

Thanks so much.

Jackie

Hi Jackie, The visit to the Podiatrist may indicate a connection to what is happening to your scalp.
There could be improvement when you get your blood sugar levels better controlled.
Your visit to the Podiatrist might be the best thing you have ever done to solve these problems.
best of luck:)
