Regular moderate exercise log

Flat line of between 4 and 5mmol/l all night - that run didn't cause even half the diabetic havoc I was expecting!

Did 30 lengths of the pool this morning.

Planning a snooze in my lunch hour today. Have a great day, all!

No parkrun for me this morning as I'm at work from 10am - so today I tackled running 5km on the treadmill without stopping! Managed 35 minutes at 9km/h = 5.25km. A breakthrough!

Very pleased - now all I have to do is survive the rest of the day...!

Really did not want to leave the house last night for aqua aerobics -

Did the usual, had tea, had a walk to get to my target of 7k daily steps, sat down then really did not want to leave the house at 7.30pm ...

Glad I did though - aqua aerobics was brilliant - used floats to help gain muscle ... I even feel my arms stronger today!

Normal steps expected today then looking forward to hitting the gym on Friday morning ....

Fab, @magsiesss ! Sounds like you're really pleased you went!

I did ....

Looking forward to the gym tomorrow - hope there are not too many people around as I would like to do a couple of the machines I should be doing, but forget how they work exactly ....

I know what you mean! I only use one of the machines and have only been shown how that one works (that's what I wanted, to keep it simple) but I really should show an interest in some of the other gear one of these days!

Oooooh, tell us more, @Japes !

I'm sorry - I thought I'd replied!

Anyway, for the first time since 1989, I own and will be wearing a dress! Normally I can dress pretty informally for work, as it suits the nature of the work I do with the kind of young adults I work with, but on the last day of our academic year we are encouraged to dress more formally for our end of year celebrations! The idea of Japes in a dress is intriguing those who have (a) watched the weight-loss with much fascination, and (b) only ever seen me in jeans. The tops do vary, depending on the day of the week.

City shopping today for the other half - means I will be doing loads of steps, but shopping steps if you know what I mean rather than striding it out. Tiring day ahead.

I wonder if I can find anything for me ..... hmmmmm

Got to be worth a try!

Too tired for any planned exercise today - will save it for early mornings in the week. The last couple of weeks I've been alternating swimming and treadmill running - am suddenly more prone to treadmill hypos so I'm going to reduce my basal even more for that next week!

I'm running longer and steadier than I used to, so that's what's making the difference I think.

In the meantime I'm being a pottering domestic goddess - now I've finished this cuppa I'd better get back to the Hoover......

I did a lot of walking, a quick weights session and a bout on the exercise bike this week.

I'm walking the longer way to church in a minute or two - because if I do, (drum roll if you please...) 180 days since beginning recording my walking that will take me over 700 miles.

Must check if I'm enthusiastic enough with the organ pedals if it adds steps!

Try putting your fitbit on your ankel

Did my gym programme then decided to look into another centre I can also use - I will be using that tomorrow for an early swim and some training - only 2 people were in the pool! How lush would that be?

Did an hour resistance in the gym today, as I feel like I'm the other side of my chest infection. Good job as I've started my medically supervised 7 day fast

Starting running again tomorrow first thing, will probs take me a week to get my fitness level back, but at least I have my new Running shoes to enjoy

Oooooh, new running shoes!

I've just got some of those posh non-do-up elasticated laces which I tried for the first time today - oh boy, what a difference! Really, really pleased with them. As soon as I got home from my treadmill session first thing this morning (6km total including 5 mins warm up/down at beginning and end) I got out the second pair of laces I'd bought and 'installed' them in my everyday sneakers.

I thought my feet were comfy already - but oh boyyyyyyy they feel delicious now my shoes are elasticated!

This message is being typed while I'm coming up from a lawnmowing 3.6. Will get out there again in a few minutes - with luck I can just get that job done before the Murray match starts......... In the meantime, sorry for the hypoglycaemic verbosity.

A new pair of cutting edge runners feels great!! Glad your happy

Do they make your morning mile go quicker, @KevinPotts ? Or maybe not, with your chest infection - hope you're much better.

Ha - just occurred to me - should've said FAST-er, not quicker......!
(I'll get m'coat...)

Give me a week to get my fitness back

I'd like to get to an 8 mins mile, but I might just be dreaming
